Tickets On Sale Now!

Butte College Theatre Department presents the Tony- Award winning musical, Sweet Charity, with performances beginning November 18 at the Butte College Black Box Theatre, Arts Building, 3536 Butte Campus Drive, Oroville.

The musical production is directed by Barry Piccinino, choreographed by Melinda Buzan, with musical direction by Tamara Allspaugh. Have you ever known someone who wanted something so badly, she tried too hard to get it? Meet Charity, the girl who wants more than anything to be loved. Join Charity as she sings, dances, laughs, and cries her way through the harsh reality of Times Square, searching for the one. Even among a colorful array of characters, including her cynical trio of streetwise girlfriends, a phony evangelist, a list of unreliable suitors, the unflappable Charity knows in her heart that 'there's gotta be something better than this.'

With music by the great Cy Coleman, lyrics by Dorothy Fields and Book by Neil Simon, this quirky romance includes musical theatre favorites "Big Spender," "If My Friends Could See Me Now," "There's Gotta Be Something Better Than This," and "The Rhythm of Life."

Performance dates are November 18, 19, 20, 21 at 7:30 p.m. and November 22 at 2 p.m. Tickets can be purchased at any Butte College Bookstore, online at www.bkstr.com/buttestore/home, or tickets will be available at the door.
