Butte College Partners with Chico State for Agricultural Education Pathway

This spring semester launches a new field of study at Butte College: Agricultural Education.

In collaboration with the Agricultural Education department at Chico State, Butte College now offers the course Introduction to Agricultural Education, articulated with the equivalent course at Chico State.

The course has gained strong interest from students, both those committed to a career in agricultural education and those evaluating entering the field. Chico State Agricultural Education professor Alyssa Schager shared that both institutions are, “Passionately committed to the future of agricultural education.”  

“We intend to build interest around this noble and rewarding career as well as equip students with the skill set needed to transfer to CSU, Chico and major in agricultural education,” said Schager.
