Butte College swore in its new student trustee for Spring 2021, Zoey Jimenez, during its January 27 board of trustees meeting.
Jimenez is a 4th semester agriculture science student at Butte. As student trustee she acts as a liaison between students and the Butte College Board of Trustees. She will serve as the chief student voice for the governing body of the district, representing all Butte College students when evaluating board items.
In addition to serving as student trustee, Jimenez is vice president for the Ag Ambassadors club and works at a veterinary clinic. After completing her studies at Butte College, she plans to transfer to Chico State to study animal science and agronomy and becoming a large animal veterinarian.
